The Community Appearance Board (CAB) serves as an advisory committee on various matters relating to improving and maintaining the physical appearance of the City.
Meetings
The Community Appearance Board meets the 2nd Wednesday of each month at 6:00 pm at Activity Center located at 10 Gateway Drive, Collinsville, IL 62234.
Membership
Community Appearance Board Members are appointed to 4-year terms by the Mayor with the consent of the
City Council.

Beautification Initiatives
The Community Appearance Board is responsible for many activities, programs, and projects that contribute to the beautification of our City

Green Space Beautification
CAB regularly maintains and improves the appearance of green space throughout the City including:
- Beltline/Highway 159 Island
- West Main Street/West Moreland Island
- St. Louis Road/Caseville Road Island
- Listemann Park
- Uptown Flower Pots
- Century Oak

Yard of the Month Contest
CAB sponsors the Yard of the Month Contest during the months of May – September. The contest encourages yard maintenance and beautification, and recognizes those property owners who demonstrate a clear and consistent desire to maintain or improve their property above normal expectations.

Living Tree Memorial Program
The Living Tree Memorial Program provides residents an opportunity to have a tree planted in memory or in honor of an individual. Apply for a Living Tree Memorial by completing and submitting the application below:

Arbor Day Tree Planting
The annual Arbor Day tree planting is a hands-on collaboration between the Board, Summit Elementary School, and Willoughby Farm to educate students about planting and caring for trees.

Trash Pickup
CAB seasonal trash pickup days to clear trash and debris in major corridors.

City Entry Signs
In 2018, CAB completed the City Entry Sign Replacement Project which included the replacement and beautification of four of City’s gateway entry signs. CAB also completed the replacement and beautification of the Woodland Park and Schnucks Park Entry Signs.

Christmas at the Collins House - Light Up Parade
CAB has been honored to participate in judging floats for the City's annual Light Up Christmas Parade.
