The Parks Master Plan serves as a guide to the Parks & Recreation Department in making improvements to Collinsville parks and other recreation facilities. The planning process identified areas of need, established priorities, and engaged the community to create a plan that best serves Collinsville.
It was important to take a “big picture” look at the parks and community connectivity as well as gather public input for educated and informed decision making in the Parks and Recreation Department. The finished plan provides staff with an invaluable tool in Capital Improvement Program (CIP) planning and execution, grant applications, and the establishment of priorities not only for the parks, but also for programming and events.
The process included several opportunities for residents to provide input on what they would like to see in Collinsville's parks, open spaces, and recreation facilities.

The Activity Center provides indoor space for rec programs, birthday parties, and other private events, and serves as the central office for the Parks & Recreation Department.
Collinsville Aqua Park, formerly Splash City, is home to 7 slides, Monsoon Mountain, lazy river, leisure pool, lap pool and Aqua Climb Wall.
The D.D. Collins House is a Greek revival home built in 1845 by Judge Daniel Dove Collins. Its architecture is rare, preceding Victorian style architecture.
Glidden Park offers a playground, large pavilion, 5 tennis courts, basketball court, walking track, and RC track. Renovations are planned to begin in 2020.
Schnuck's Park is a small neighborhood park featuring a new playground, gazebo, and small lake.
Jaycee Sports Complex features 12 baseball and softball fields, a football field, a soccer field, and concessions stand.
Willoughby Heritage Farm and Conservation Reserve is a public park where we've recreated an atmosphere inspired by 1940's farm life, complete with tractors and live animals!
Woodland Park is Collinsville's largest park with 5 pavilions, 4 playgrounds, a disc golf course, 3 baseball fields, and 1 basketball court.
