Collinsville Parks and Recreation Leagues are recreational in nature and are designed for all kids to play and improve their skills. This league is not about winning but learning to play the game.

This recreational league is designed for players in 7^th and 8^th grades in the current school year. Juniors Baseball will complete in the Metro East Recreational Youth Baseball League (MERBL).  MERBL is a local organization that brings teams from the Metro East Area Parks and Recreation Departments together to play against each other at local and nearby fields. Collinsville teams will register through the Collinsville Parks and Recreation Department however MERBL will schedule games and officials for this league. Practices will be scheduled through CPRD.

Practices for this division will be scheduled for Mondays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays starting April 1st as requested by the team’s coach. Games will start the last week of April/first week of May with potential to play on any weeknight (Monday through Thursday) and Saturdays.  

All participants will receive a team uniform shirt and hat.  Players will need their own glove.  Collinsville Parks and Recreation will provide bats, balls, batting helmets, and catching equipment.  Players are welcome to use their own equipment. Molded rubber cleats are preferred but sneakers are allowed. No metal cleats allowed.

This recreational league is designed for children in 7th and 8th grades in the current school year. CBSL is a non-competitive, safe approach to teaching the fundamentals of the game of softball.

Practices and games for this division will be scheduled for Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays. Practices start April 1st. Games start the last week of April/first week of May.  Teams are scheduled 12 games (10 games guaranteed). This division may travel to play other teams in neighboring cities to expand the size of the league.
