The Department of Community Development is made up of three (3) divisions:

The Community Development Department is committed to providing professional land development services within the City as well as the health, safety and general welfare of our residents and businesses. The Department is responsible for long term planning, zoning, property maintenance, code enforcement, plan review, construction inspection, and building occupancy for compliance with City Codes and Ordinances.

Community Development Department staff also acts as liaisons to several boards and commissions for the City; including the Planning Commission, Cool Cities Committee, Historic Preservation Commission, and Building Code Review Committee.
