In order to better provide for and protect the safety of our citizens and your customers, a Business Licensing and Registration Program has been adopted by the City of Collinsville. All businesses operating within the City limits of Collinsville are required to obtain a business license, with the exception of those businesses exempted by Illinois State Statutes (a list of exempt businesses is provided here). Exempt businesses are still required to register with the City so that important information can be kept on file. The annual business license fee is $25; there is no fee to register a business. Home Occupations (businesses that are run from your primary residence) are subject to additional restrictions and requirements. These requirements can be found in the Home Occupation Application Packet. If you plan to apply for a business license to run a business out of your home, please pay careful attention to the requirements listed; failure to abide by these requirements can result in citations, fines and possibly revocation of your license.
We
greatly appreciate your compliance in registering/licensing your
business and providing all necessary information in order to
promote, protect, and safeguard the health and welfare of all the
citizens of the City of Collinsville. An emergency contact form is
now being used by the Police Department so that the dispatcher can
locate and contact the proper individuals when there is a police or
fire emergency at your place of business. If you have questions or need assistance completing your application; please contact Erin Nolte, Administrative Assistant at 618-346-5200 ext. 128 or by email at enolte@ci.collinsville.il.us
